11/11/2011 Auspicious beginnings

I had hoped to start this blog while in China but if I'd really thought that through I would have realised what a naive plan that was. So today is the beginning.
As usual a research day begins with a load of non research tasks mainly involving emails - I know it has an easy solution - just don't open them but.....
I intend to use this blog as a repository of the research I'm currently working on, a reminder of what I have done as I frequently forget where I am with a project given the gaps created by the other pressures on my time, and finally and maybe more importantly, the things I come across that are not relevant at the moment but are interesting and may come in useful at another time or may be of interest to others.
I have just finished edits for an article I'm working on with Ang Bartram, Oral/Response, for Text and Performance Quarterly. Will post here when it is available.
Now for some reading.

Digression - if you are in need of procrastination reading-

This article is based on research by some University of Lincoln colleagues, nothing to do with my research but generally interesting and not just for those interested in Macaques.
